Join us for afternoon tea, from 3-6pm, on Saturday 25th July at Brooking Church. This is a free event but please contact Sam to book a parking space (18 cars max) and if you want to enjoy a cocktail or mocktail, please bring a cash donation (£5 per glass suggested) to cover costs. ‘Bring & share’ cake & snacks also much appreciated! (Including gluten free options).

Pack your hand bag or stamp collection, put a feather in your hat or flowers in your hair and come and join the Wild Church Crew for our annual Moominsummer Celebration! Not sure about all things Moomin? Then wise up here and come in character, if you feel moved.

Our usual highlights are on offer – my barman son, Tam, will be making cocktails & mocktails, including our signature and original the ‘Ambivalent Anglican’ and (greenery allowing) our new creation, the ‘Graveyard Smash’!

Weather permitting, we’ll have Snufkin’s campfire, Moominmamma’s reading corner, a quiet zone for the Grokes among us and anything else that anyone feels moved to create…

There will also be bubbles (both the drinkable and floating types), trips up the tower, opportunities to get Gothic on the organ and general delightfulness among the butterflies, flowers and yes, lots of graves…

On a slightly more sombre note, given the changes afoot with Wild Monastery & Brooking Church, this may be our last Moominsummer Celebration, so don’t miss it!
