Sunday 13th April – 10am to 5pm at St Barnabas Church, Brooking, Dartington, Totnes TQ9 6DW.

With Myrtle Cooper and Sam Wernham.

For the full moon on Palm Sunday, we have a special retreat day as we enter Holy Week and the approach to Easter, featuring a sacred and secular collaboration open to all. Booking essential & on a sliding scale/donation basis: £20 (supported), £40 (standard) and £60 (supporters). Places are limited, so to confirm yours please contact Sam at livingspirit3@gmail.com or msg 07979 057169

In the morning we will be joined by Myrtle Cooper of Wild and Curious Foraging, who will offer a guided exploration of contemplative plant connection and foraging in the beautiful churchyard at Brooking, including wild tea and tasting of home made treats, lovingly crafted by Myrtle from locally sourced wild ingredients.

After a peaceful lunch together (bring your own packed lunch or food to share) Sam will continue the foraging theme with a guided and co-created wild communion, exploring the universal life-death-life themes of Holy Week. This will include the opportunity to deepen into the ‘wild scripture’ practice we use to read the Big Book of Nature and gather ‘wild wisdom’ in our monthly Wild Monastics meetings and a silent communion ceremony suitable for those of any faith or none.

Hot drinks and snacks are provided but please bring your own lunch and a log or two for the campfire. Brooking church is spacious and inspiring and yet rarely warm! So remember to wear many cosy layers + bring a hot water bottle and a blanket. Much of our time together will be spent outside (weather permitting) so please come prepared with outdoor clothing and footwear.
