..and the cuckoo has indeed been loudly singing. The swallows have arrived and the wisteria is just coming into bloom along the south face of Bonehill House. Spring has been intense and I’ve been so busy living it, there’s not seemed to be time for blogging about it! My epic battles with the forces of darkness have continued…the said dark forces consisting mainly of my current favourite blend of different types of agent, solicitors, surveyors etc… along with large quantities of ironing luxury cotton kingsize duvet covers (which almost certainly would have featured in one of Dante’s levels of hell if he had been a woman). Happily, the dark forces have been balanced by some great groups, inspiring work shops and lots of lovely guests… and the many natural beauties of Dartmoor and the Bonehill House gardens, which deserve an entry of their own really.

For now however, I shall simply sing the praises of our next wonderful workshop “The Transcendent Art’ on Saturday June 5th from 10-5pm. We have a wonderfully learned tutor, Peter Brennan, coming down from London to help us uncover the spiritual depths of the poetry of Wordsworth and Coleridge. All this in an exceptionally beautiful place… and a delicious lunch…don’t miss it!
