Sunday 12th October – 10am to 5pm at St Barnabas Church, Brooking, Dartington TQ9 6DW

with Jan Nuttall & Rev Sam Wernham.

Join us for a day of autumnal reflection and celebration in a beautiful sacred space, under the sleeping bats of St Barnabas Church in Dartington Parish. We will enjoy a peaceful, meditative morning, followed by a ‘bring and share’ harvest feast (homemade soup, local bread & homity pie provided) and an optional afternoon of contemplative gardening, with a wild communion to close.

The day will be guided by Wild Monastery/Church founder Rev Sam Wernham, with dear friend & colleague, Jan Nuttall. Here are a few more details:

In the morning, after a warm welcome from Sam, Jan will guide us into some meditative autumnal reflection, including silent space for wandering in the autumnal churchyard, journalling etc.

Hot drinks & snacks will be provided but please bring extras to add to our shared lunch, such as cheese, hummus or something sweet. It would be lovely to have homemade, seasonal offerings, if possible, to help co-create an autumn feast.

After lunch, weather permitting, we will have some quiet gardening time to prepare the churchyard for the winter. Please bring gardening gloves, secateurs & trowels. We will end with an optional and gently guided wild communion.

Booking is essential for this retreat day & it is offered on a donation basis (£60/£40/£20 suggested).
