Sunday 12th April, 10am-5pm at Brooking Church

I (Sam) very much look forward to the return of our wild librarian, Sim, who will be collaborating on our Wild Spring Retreat.

As you can see here, Brooking churchyard is looking especially gorgeous this spring with a sea of sparkling celandines and primroses, so we can look forward to an inspiring day in this beautiful, sacred space.

In the morning, we will start with a sensory forage to gather natural materials to create a mandala in the church.

Then the second part of the session will be a facilitated contemplative nature writing session with Sim who is studying for a Masters in Nature and Travel Writing at Bath Spa University. We will be writing with our senses so there will be an opportunity to spend some time recording field notes outside.

In the afternoon, we will have time for silence and then close with a wild communion. You are welcome to come for either the morning, afternoon or the full day. Please bring a packed lunch if coming for the whole day.

To book, please contact Sam. This retreat is offered on a donation basis, with suggested amounts of £60 (supporters), £40 (standard) and £20 (supported). Please be generous as we have no other funding except your donations – thank you!
